It’s May, and vibes are high. We’re one step closer to consistent warm weather, summer travel is on the horizon, and it’s my birthday month. While I realize that’s not a selling point for all, I swear more people in my life were born in May than any other month. Naturally, after writing that sentence, I felt obligated to confirm that it is a fact. However, unfortunately for the point I was trying to make, the most popular birth month is August, with the most popular birthdate going to September 9th. So if you take nothing else from this week’s the best best, at least you now have that fun fact for your next party! :-)

Generally, I’d describe my style as classic. I’m drawn to pieces and silhouettes that I can wear a hundred times in a thousand different ways—as you have come to know well if you’re a regular here. But with summer just around the corner, it’s time to jazz it up! That TikTok sound keeps playing in my head, “if your outfit’s not interesting through texture, it needs to be interesting by color…”—and honestly, it’s onto something. I’m currently obsessed with color, textures, and novelty shapes. Maybe it’s the endless rain, and I’m just searching for an escape, or maybe it’s because it's Taurus season. Either way, I am ready to add a few standout pieces that will take my go-to timeless looks from classic girl to cool girl. (Bear with me, I was desperate for an alliteration!)
