the tuesday five (!!)

Because sometimes you run out of time!!

Some weeks, there just aren't enough hours in the day. That is why my Friday-specific newsletter is arriving in your inbox on a Tuesday. (In fact, this was scheduled to arrive on Sunday!) But better late than never—a mentality I've come to know and love while keeping all the plates in my life spinning. One I think we can all relate to!

I started last week prepping for a colonoscopy, which was quite the experience, but luckily went incredibly well! It also reminded me of the simple pleasure of a popsicle on a hot summer’s day. Which, I suppose, is one of the perks of having to prep for this procedure—as I now have a stocked freezer with endless options! So LMK if you want to come over for a posicle, or some broth :-)

I ended my week in the burbs for a Friday night BBQ with some of my favorite people. With lots of delicious bites and Vinho Verde—a homage to an amazing trip to Portugal a few summers ago. Truly one of the best-planned trips to date!

And because I prefer a visual diary, here are the highlights of everything else in between!

truly the most misc round up

• Somehow, I had no brown leather sandals? This pair from Larroudé solved that! Love the subtle pops of color on this pair. The white/black option is also v cute.

• After purchasing these pops for my procedure, I realized they were not allowed—too much real fruit! lol However, post procedure, I have nearly completed the entire box. New obsession.

• Popped by Jonathan Adler for their holiday preview—on one of the hottest, stickiest days of summer yet! And found so many treasures for gift guides and home, including this gigantic acrylic dachshund that I may need.

• Also popped by the BÉIS pop-up in Soho, and left with one of their new Weekender bags in olive!

• I lost my Bink water bottle, and fell victim to needing the “bundle pricing” and free shipping—so now I have a water bottle for every occasion/location.

• Had dinner at Maricos El Submarino, and can’t say enough good things! Already planning to take my mom when she gets here this week. The food was delicious—as are the margaritas, and it’s just a cheap and cheerful place. Excellent service!

• Got a new rug from Ruggable—which is currently living in what will hopefully become a little den, reading room, dressing room. Very multi-use! The vision is still coming together, but other contenders—here, here & here! The last one was quickly vetoed by Rishi, which was a shame! Could have matched these Veronica Beard sandals :-) I love that these rugs are machine washable, so I may order another for under my dining table. Or maybe a runner?

• Filled my space with the most fragrant lilies from Fresh Sends. One of my fav flowers!

• Chef Mas on the grill, making the most delicious kebabs!

Wrapping up one week just in time to kick off another week! A week I have declared will be the most productive week ever! (This is something I exclaim to Rishi quite regularly on my way out on a Monday, so let’s see how it goes!

But before we do, here are the best best pieces, places, and things I’m currently loving, coveting, and fixating on—which includes the kitten heels I walk 10K steps in at least once a week, a coin necklace that’s a conversation starter, the site where I’m buying all my clean home essentials, a bakery I’m trying to become a regular at, and my new favorite shorts.

1. Paris Texas Portofino 50 Mules

I wear these heels at least once a week—usually more, and I really can’t say enough good things! Whenever anyone DM’s me to ask who makes them, I always go on a rant, so it felt like the time to move that rant here :-)

I purchased these mules on sale at Saks while shopping with a friend for her wedding shoes. I was kind of on the fence if I “really needed them,” because I had similar options, but I’m glad I was convinced otherwise, because they are truly a staple in my wardrobe!

They are extremely comfortable, the perfect height for a little lift, have no major wear and tear after nearly 2.5 years of wearing, and at the sale prices of $200, such a great value! I really think the quality is unmatched, which makes me interested in buying more from the brand.

The black snake is old and no longer available, so if the natural snake is not your vibe, I spotted a lower heel option here & here!

Sakara Level II Detox

I kind of love that the photo above accidentally became a walking ad for the Sakara cleanse I was doing at the time! lol This was my second time doing the cleanse, and I genuinely love it. For me, it’s one of the best ways to reset—whether it’s after a big weekend, a vacation, or just when I need a little help getting back into a routine. I feel lighter, more focused, and filled with so much energy—well after day 1! The food is also so delicious, and it’s so nice not to have to think about what you’re going to eat.

Each time I do it, I’m also convinced I can give up coffee since the cleanse is caffeine-free, though admittedly that quickly goes away when it’s over!

2. Juno Moneta Studio Coin Necklace

I recently had the pleasure of connecting with Megan Jenkins, the founder/designer behind the newly launched brand Juno Moneta Studio. The fine Jewelry brand is based in NYC and inspired by her late father’s coin collection. She’ll be doing small drops monthly, with the next one coming up on August 15th.

I had the pleasure of trialing one of her stunning necklaces in June, and I’m truly obsessed. I wore one coin with two different chains, swapping between them throughout the month. The chains were actually vintage watch chains, which was a detail I loved! The goal is to add it to my everyday neck collection, pending final pricing :-) She’s also working on more affordable replicas.

The necklaces are stunning, but I was truly caught up (!!) in the vintage jewelry cases that she delivered the pieces in. So much so that I asked her to round up a selection for all of you! So chic, and actually so much better than most of the modern cases we see offered today.

And while we await the next drop, you can also find her on Substack <3 She’ll be sharing the story behind the brand, details about the drops, her jewelry hot takes, and vintage finds.

A note from Megan—There is no better way to keep these beauties safe than a vintage jewelry box. From a time when craftsmanship was simply...better. Here are some of my favorites. I do a lot of digging on Etsy, Poshmark, and First Dibs for these bad boys.

The Mele Clamshell case here. This is a tried and true case. It is perfect for your purse, perfect for your dresser. The prices for these on eBay and Poshmark are unbeatable.

3. My Grove Co. haul

Grove Co has it all!

I am obsessed with clean beauty, so naturally, I am also obsessed with clean home products. I *think* I discovered Grove Co. last year, and I have been loving the site ever since! I really enjoy any retailer/site that will do the work for you (i.e., research a brand to know that it is, in fact, as “clean” as it claims to be!), and Grove Co. does all of that and then some—as everything is vetted against 3,000+ banned ingredients linked to common health concerns per their site!

And as we sadly know all too well, the products we use daily often contain ingredients linked to long-term health effects, and I’m really trying to avoid bringing those chemicals into our home! So I love that I can shop for all my things in one place and without having to fact-check along the way. I also discover new things on their site, like these electrolyte packs that I am currently obsessed with!

I have swapped most of my sprays for Koala Eco, and we’re now getting a lot of everyday essentials like trash bags, parchment paper, etc., from Grove Co. Here are some highlights from my box above!

• Murphy’s Naturals Mosquito Repellent Candle & Spray (because I am getting eaten alive this summer!)

• Koala Eco Fruit & Vegetable Wash (I’ve seen so many TikTok’s recently showing what comes off people’s fruits & veggies, and I’m really trying to commit to this! lol)

• Grove Co. Glass Cleaner (get rid of that Windex!)

• Grove Co. Organic Striped Kitchen Towels (I keep buying these…)

• All the Koala Eco things! Multi-Purpose Bathroom Cleaner, Multi-Purpose Kitchen Cleaner, Hand Wash, etc.

4. Miolin Bakery

One of my lifelong goals is to become a regular somewhere. I want to have a rapport with the person behind the counter, and work my way up to someone knowing my order by heart. For whatever reason, it's never quite happened, but maybe Miolin will be that place! lol

Located in Park Slope (my new hood!), Miolin is owned by a husband-and-wife team who first started baking and selling their goods out of their apartment before opening the café. It’s exactly the kind of neighborhood spot you want to start your day.

The coffee is great, the pastries are excellent, and the space is chic! I’ve become a regular purchaser of the challah and have slowly been making my way through the pastries and sandwiches —none of which have disappointed.

And if no one ever learns my order, I’ll continue to go back :-)

5. The Frankie Play Short

It was only a matter of time until I purchased a pair of Relax Lacrosse shorts, and when I saw Amrit Tietz announce that there was a restock of her collab with the brand (also available for your mini!), I knew that time had come!

As to be expected, I am obsessed with these shorts—from the fit to the shell detail. Perfect for running around on the weekend, but can also be slightly elevated when paired with a button-down. I can’t wait to wear these all summer in the city, and then forever on vacation.

Maybe you missed it? Talk to me about your eye cream.

Does eye cream even do anything? That’s the big question I’ve been asking for years, and I’m currently on a quest to find the best (best!) one—i.e., a cream, serum, gel, etc. that actually has a visible impact. I’m currently working through a bottle of Tata Harper’s Restorative Eye Crème, using their gua sha spoon in tandem because I really can’t help myself when it comes to gua sha face tools. I am also a big fan of their cleanser, which was my gateway into the brand!

I love the texture and scent, and the application process feels so luxurious.

Other eye creams I’ve been testing include the Ursa Major Sunny Start Eye Serum and U Beauty The RETURN Eye Concentrate, BUT I’d love to hear from you! If there is an eye cream you swear by, drop it in the comments!

empty of the week (!!)

Sofie Pavitt Clean Clean Cleanser | This cleanser had me at the packaging, but what’s inside is just as great! If you’re not familiar, sofie pavitt is a nyc-based licensed esthetician and certified acne specialist (or acne whisperer per her IG bio!) She has a studio in Soho and also writes a Substack, Saving Face, in addition to her robust line of products.

I’ve been curious about her products and studio for quite some time (I still need to book a facial!), and this cleanser absolutely lived up to the hype.

It has become my go-to morning cleanser post-workout, and I genuinely squeezed every last drop out of the bottle. It leaves my skin feeling incredibly clean without that tight, stripped feeling that so many cleansers can have. It’s effective, gentle, and one of those products I’ll definitely be repurchasing! It also matches my green bathroom, so it’s really a necessity for the space as well :-)
